CodexForce Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 5, 2026
CodexForce is a competitive programming battle extension that allows users to sign in, verify a Codeforces account, join timed head-to-head programming matches, track submissions, receive match results, and maintain a CodexForce rating.
Information we collect and process
Account and authentication information
When you sign in, CodexForce processes account and authentication information provided through Google and Supabase, including your email address, Supabase user identifier, OAuth authorization results, and authentication session information. These details are used to authenticate your account, maintain your session, and associate your match activity with your CodexForce account.
CodexForce does not ask for or store your Google password or Codeforces password in the extension.
Codeforces account information
When you link a Codeforces account, CodexForce may process:
- Codeforces handle;
- Codeforces platform account identifier;
- Codeforces rating;
- Codeforces avatar URL, when available;
- Account verification status; and
- Verification timestamps.
This information is used to verify account ownership, support matchmaking, and display your linked account information.
Match and submission activity
CodexForce may process:
- Matchmaking activity and selected match format;
- Match participants and match identifiers;
- Match start, end, and completion times;
- Problems assigned to a match;
- Problems solved and submission attempts;
- Codeforces submission identifiers and verdicts;
- Submission timestamps and programming language information, when provided by Codeforces;
- Penalty scores and final match results;
- Forfeit and completion information; and
- CodexForce XScore and rating history.
This information is used to operate matches, synchronize progress, calculate results and penalties, maintain match history, and update CodexForce ratings.
Local extension data
CodexForce stores limited local extension state, such as the identifier of an active match, so the extension can reopen or resume an active match after the popup is closed.
How we use information
CodexForce uses information only as necessary to:
- Authenticate users and maintain sessions;
- Link and verify Codeforces accounts;
- Operate matchmaking;
- Select and display programming problems;
- Track Codeforces submissions during active matches;
- Calculate solved counts, attempts, and penalty scores;
- Determine match results;
- Maintain match history;
- Calculate and update CodexForce XScore;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse or security problems; and
- Provide support and troubleshoot service issues.
CodexForce does not sell user data, use it for advertising, use it for unrelated profiling, determine creditworthiness, or make lending decisions.
Information sharing and service providers
CodexForce transmits information only to services required to provide its functionality.
Supabase
CodexForce uses Supabase for authentication, database storage, account linking, matchmaking, match state, submission tracking, match finalization, and CodexForce rating storage.
Codeforces
CodexForce uses Codeforces OAuth for account linking, and its server-side service retrieves Codeforces submission information needed to synchronize match progress. CodexForce does not require users to enter their Codeforces password into the extension.
CodexForce uses Google OAuth for account sign-in. Google processes authentication requests according to Google's privacy policy. CodexForce receives the account information permitted by the sign-in flow, such as the user's email address and authentication identity, and uses it to create and maintain the CodexForce account.
CodexForce does not share user data with advertising networks or data brokers.
Data security
CodexForce transmits service data using HTTPS and uses authenticated requests for protected operations. Server-side operations such as account linking, matchmaking, submission recording, match finalization, and rating updates are validated by the CodexForce backend.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so CodexForce cannot guarantee absolute security. Users should not share their Google, Supabase, or Codeforces credentials with anyone claiming to represent CodexForce.
Data retention
Account, linked Codeforces account, match, submission, and rating information may be retained while necessary to provide match history, ratings, account security, support, and service functionality.
Some information may be retained temporarily for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, backups, or technical recovery.
Account unlinking and deletion
You can unlink your Codeforces account through the CodexForce extension.
To request deletion of your CodexForce account and associated data, contact akashdev8181@gmail.com. Include the email address associated with your CodexForce account. CodexForce will review and process verified deletion requests, subject to information that must be retained for security, legal compliance, backups, or technical recovery. We may request reasonable information to verify the request.
Children's privacy
CodexForce is not intended for children under 13, or the applicable minimum age in the user's country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when CodexForce's data practices or functionality change. The updated policy will be published at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
